Robin Duvaloois (Board chairman for Port of Rotterdam)
My name is Robin Duvaloois, I’m 28 and currently living in Dordrecht. In 2014, after completing my study civil engineering at the Hogeschool Rotterdam, I started working at Havenbedrijf Rotterdam N.V. (Port of Rotterdam). I started as an Asset Manager Constructions & Dredging, with the focus on the areas Maasvlakte 2/Dordrecht/Alblasserdam. In this function I’m responsible for management and maintenance of all maritime assets in aforementioned areas. I also act in an advisory role for large scale development projects. The Port of Rotterdam has always fascinated me by its grand scale and dynamic character, a lot is happening in the area and you notice that the port is constantly evolving. But the exploitation of a port always involves risks, one of which is (oil)spills. The foundation is one of the contributors in keeping the port clean and safe, I’m excited to be able to commit myself for this purpose.
