Oil boom deployed!

On June 3rd an incident has occurred at which there has been deployment of one of the oil booms of the Schermenpool.

The incident took place on the terminal of one of our members in the Europoort area, due to wind and current the Officer in Charge DHMR (Division Harbour Master) ordered to have the Schermenpool activated. The process was smooth and the oil boom was deployed in the expected time frame. Shortly after that the boom was positioned with assistance of a RPA (Rotterdam Port Autority) Vessel and a vessel of the KRVE (Boatmen). After the cleanup was finished HEBO removed and cleaned the boom to be returned to the Schermenpool for future deployment.
